Are you a financial management professional and proven leader? Infrastructure Services Division is seeking a suitably skilled and experienced professional to undertake a senior executive role leading the annual infrastructure budget of over $2 billion. This role will provide expert financial advice to the division’s Executive Management Team and uplift financial management and accounting practices across the whole division. About Us The department's Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) plays a key role in providing teaching and learning environments in which our children, students and teachers can thrive and achieve success. About The Role The Senior Director will:
- Monitor financial performance of the division and provide expert financial advice to the division's Executive Management Team.
- Lead development and governance of the annual infrastructure budget of over $2 billion, including a capital works portfolio with thousands of in-flight projects and a substantial maintenance program.
- Oversee development and ongoing governance of finance & accounting policies and procedures for the division, such as budget management, project accounting, asset accounting, operational financial management, etc.
- Provide people leadership to the Infrastructure Investment & Finance team and work collaboratively with other related business functions across the division.
- Be the division's primary point of contact with departmental Corporate Finance, Queensland Treasury and Queensland Audit Office on budget, finance, accounting and related matters, including building trusted relationships with these and other key stakeholders.
- Manage grants and other funding programs that allocate State Government and Australian Government funding to school infrastructure projects.
- Address a wide range of executive reporting and Cabinet/Ministerial correspondence.

- Can communicate and influence at all levels and builds genuine relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- a tertiary qualification in finance, accountancy, commerce or economics.
- current membership with an accredited professional body, such as CPA Australia (Certified Practicing Accountants) or ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia).
