    About the Opportunity

    The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a full-time Supervisor Turf Management based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA . This role is responsible for supervising the maintenance of 52 hectares of active and passive turf areas, ensuring high standards of presentation and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Coordinator Parks & Open Spaces, you will manage a skilled team and oversee daily turf operations in line with the City’s objectives. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Managing and aligning turf operations to meet the City’s objectives
    • Supervising, training, and scheduling the Turf Operations team to optimise performance
    • Overseeing water resource use in collaboration with irrigation teams to ensure sustainable turf maintenance
    • Monitoring expenditure against the approved budget and providing monthly variance reports
    • Conducting audits of facilities, identifying hazards, and maintaining safe and visually appealing spaces
    • Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and the City’s Annual Works Program

    About You

    To qualify, you will need a Certificate IV in Sports Turf Management and/or demonstrated knowledge and a Supervisory Certificate (or similar qualification) . Demonstrated experience in turf management will also be essential. Additionally, you must have:
    • Current Construction Safety Awareness Card (Blue/White Card)
    • Valid WA “C” and “HR” class driver’s licences
    • Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
    The following skills and background will be highly valued:
    • Current First Aid Certificate
    • Proven leadership experience managing turf maintenance within a large-scale facility or council environment
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners
    • Experience in budget management and resource allocation
    • Knowledge of sustainable and efficient water management practices
