Base pay range

A$75,000.00/yr - A$80,000.00/yr TheirCare is Australia's highest quality Outside School Hours Care provider who specialise in the delivery of programs supporting children and young people with complex disability. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate 2IC at Lake Colac School to co-lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. If you are experienced in the early childhood, OSHC and/or disability support sectors and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, this role is for you. The Role: This role is full-time - 38 hours a week - 10.00am - 6.06pm during term time where the role is a combination of administration hours and in-service hours. 9.00am - 5.06pm during school Holiday program where you would be completely in ratio in-service hours.

• Co-lead, train and guide in best practice to deliver the highest quality care for every child in care
• Plan and prepare child-focused programs for school-aged children in a specialist school setting
• Contribute to compliance such as the Quality Improvement Plan etc
• High staff to student ratio to ensure every child’s individual needs are met
• Provide children with the opportunity to explore, learn and play and have fun
• Maintain a safe environment for all children, families and staff

Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate for the 2IC role will have the following:

• Experience with training, coaching and management of a large team
• Experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience and confidence in behavioural management of high needs children
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements: In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role:

• Employee Working with Children Check or VIT card
• First Aid + CPR Certificate
• Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting
• Be actively working towards and have completed 50% or have completed an ACECQA approved Diploma level qualification
