Junior Estimator

The Junior Scaffold Estimator plays a vital role in supporting Proview Scaffolding’s project delivery by preparing accurate and competitive estimates. This role involves collaborating with the sales, operations, and project teams to ensure scaffolding solutions meet client needs, project budgets, and timelines. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop a career in scaffolding estimation and the broader construction industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for scaffolding projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine scaffolding requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to clarify project scopes and provide practical solutions.
• Assist Senior Estimators in the preparation of tenders and complex project bids.
• Maintain and update estimating software and tools to ensure accurate data management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all estimates and project planning.
• Support the operations team with cost analysis and resource planning for ongoing projects.

Key Requirements:

• Basic understanding of scaffolding systems, construction principles, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with estimating software or related tools (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimation.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction (preferred but not essential).

Preferred Experience:

• Entry-level experience in the scaffolding, construction, or related industries is advantageous.
• Exposure to reading construction drawings or preparing basic quotes is highly regarded.

Soft Skills:

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
