They have built an enduring reputation of service excellence and exceptional customer delivery standards that ensures they operate at the high value end of the chain. This has enabled them to enjoy consecutive years of healthy financial return as well as maintaining strong profit margins over and above the industry norm. Having gone through accelerated growth over recent years, they are seeking an inaugural CFO to build discipline, structure, and governance to deliver the next phase of expansion through to a successful exit event. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. You will provide strategic financial insights, manage risk, and support the delivery of sustainable growth initiatives. The CFO will ensure the company remains agile, profitable, and compliant in a dynamic market environment. Some of the clearly defined projects and challenges to deliver include:

• Overhaul of disparate business systems through evaluation and implementation of an Enterprise System capable of streamlining processes and operational systems to provide “one version of the truth” in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner
• Deliver clarity and visibility on gross profit across all their Design & Construction Projects
• Build rigor and transparency around Work in Progress and WIP Accounting

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong financial acumen, deep commercial understanding, and the ability to implement robust financial systems and governance processes. You will be curious, inquisitive, and hungry to learn the business whilst displaying humility, professionalism, and respect as you deliver change throughout the organisation. You are CPA, CA (or equivalent) qualified with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role, with proven success in the design, project management, or construction industries. Experience managing project-based financials, including costing, budgeting, and margin analysis as well as commercial negotiations, contract reviews, and risk management expertise would be highly advantageous.
