Tauranga Girls’ College is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptive Homestay Manager to join our International Department. This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week commencing 19 May 2025.

Role Requirements:

  1. Excellent people skills to enable the building of strong relationships with a wide range of people and provide effective pastoral care to our international students.
  2. A high level of cultural awareness and understanding of the challenges cultural differences can raise.
  3. Ability to communicate with Agents, Natural Parents, Home Stay families, and the school community.
  4. The ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a calm and professional manner.
  5. Good administrative skills, including proven competence with the Google Suite and other IT related packages; training will be provided for student databases and social media platforms.
  6. Assist and attend international department off-site activities and trips.
  7. A full driver's licence with the ability to drive a school van when required.

  2. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  4. Positive and proactive attitude, self-starter.
This is a permanent position and would suit someone who can offer flexibility in working hours outside of school hours and can hold the emergency phone on a roster system.
