We empower patients to monitor, track and take better control of their mental health. We consult with enterprise mental health providers to design monitoring and tracking systems for group programs and organization-wide initiatives. Opportunity Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and help us deliver seamless, user-friendly software for our therapists, patients, and corporate clients. Day-to-day you’ll be working with our remote-only team to ensure that developers have the resources they need, and all aspects of software development progress in a smooth and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience managing development projects in a software development environment. Expertise in managing projects in all phases from discovery to proposal through implementation, quality assurance, and maintenance of deployed systems is a necessity. This position is well suited to a candidate who would like to work on software projects that make a real difference in others' health and well-being. This is a 100% remote position in a small but growing company, and the candidate will be reporting to Dr. Armstrong directly.
Job Specification
Main Duties:- Manage discovery, planning, execution, quality assurance, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of a number of concurrent software platforms/projects for clients, therapists, and for enterprise.
- Maintain clear project plans and timelines according to guidance from patients, clients, and Dr. Armstrong.
- Manage and monitor front-end and backend software development for Mensio’s software platforms, using modern agile methodology.
- Assist and support software developers by removing obstacles, making workflow improvements, and offering timely feedback on submitted features.
- Advocate, document, and enforce best engineering practices, design and implementation principles, coding standards; drive high quality in all phases of software development.
- Work with different software including but not limited to Jira, Airtable.
- Create and execute test plans, write tickets and test cases, and prepare bug reports using JIRA and other bug reporting tools.
- Test application features and provide feedback on usability.
- Find, isolate, and document defects.
- Troubleshoot software bugs and client-reported software problems by handling, resolving, and documenting submitted issues.
- Assist with the interview process when hiring new developers and designers.
- Monitor and manage UI/UX as part of an integrated software development process/workflow.
- Certification or relevant training in Project Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a software, computer technology, computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related discipline; related work experience considered.
- 5+ years of previous experience in a software development environment.
- 5+ years of experience in software development project management with a proven track record.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Exposure to full lifecycle software including: initial discovery, writing software proposals, writing software specifications, agile development, automated and manual quality assurance testing, and ongoing software maintenance.
- Practical experience with software engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Experience with JIRA or other similar agile development tools.
- Experience in agile software development life cycle, practices, and tools (coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, QA).
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or proficient in English.
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain deadlines, and operate independently as is often required in a remote-first context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Assist in the selection and technical integration of tools, technologies, or platform capabilities as required.
- Six Sigma Knowledge/certification or equivalent is considered a plus.
- Working knowledge of at least one project management platform (MS Project etc.).
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent is a plus.
