Visit us @ Candidates with required experience and skills apply to smitha@bigtec.co.in Position/Title Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager Job Purpose ( High Level Summary of the role , reporting to) Reporting to the VP Finance , the Inventory Manager monitors the inventory levels of Bigtec. The role entails to record, evaluate, monitor, book consumption and manage the different types of inventories. Using an inventory tracking system, the inventory manager works towards optimizing inventory control. The inventory manager will lead a team , coordinate with suppliers and the user departments , hence strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential to the job profile. - Plan and execute an inventory tracking system for supply chain inventories
- To continuously monitor the inventory levels to ensure that the obsolete inventories are identified periodically
- To set up a good inventory managaement systems and processes
- Support the purchase and finance team to liaise with different suppliers and do a cost analysis to get the best prices and rates
- Document the inventory movements and report them to the senior management
- Make sure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, keeping in mind quality and inventory control
- Maintain safety in the stores departments, by adhering to the company safety policies and national regulations according to the legal standards
- Monitor the daily stores activities and ensure that quality assurance standards are always maintained
- Keep track of daily receipts, shipments and deliveries by making a report on them
- Build and foster healthy and long-lasting relationships with the purchase and finance department and suppliers within the scope of the inventory manager role
- Identify shortages and bottlenecks in the inventory control tasks and resolve the same through continuous improvisations
- Keep track of the latest trends and technology in the stores and inventory control spectrum and stay up to date with the same
- Track and meet the KPIs for inventory control that are set by the company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
- 2+ years’ supervisory experience
- Able to multi-task and work independently
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth understanding of distribution workplaces
- Inventory training an asset
- Understanding of the different categories of inventory
- Exposure to working in SAP environment is an added advantage
- Ability to work as a team player
- Piror experience of working in an R & D organization or manufacturing industry
