Mechanical Project Planner

SSA are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor seeking a Project Planner for a variety of projects in Limerick. Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
2. Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
3. Reporting to Planning Department and Business Unit / Project Management
4. Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning and progress databases
5. Progress reporting (Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis)
6. Earned Value Management systems
7. Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
8. Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
9. Preparation of tender schedules and histograms
10. Resource / cash loading of schedules
11. Providing data for payment applications
12. Completing contract review reports
13. Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
14. Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
15. Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes

1. Relevant degree in Engineering/Construction Management
2. 3+ years Project Planning experience
3. Experience working with MEP Contractor on projects in Ireland/UK is strongly desired
4. Mechanically biased candidates ideally
5. Extensive experience in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
6. EU Passport/Irish work permit essential
