Overview of the role:
GRMS Technical Engineer works under the guidance of a project manager on installations, modification, additions, maintenance, and repair of GRMS Systems, associated materials, and equipment on any type of project. Leading the implementation of ELV/GRMS systems. Assisting the project manager, working along with various internal & external project stakeholders in delivering the project. The ELV/GRMS Commissioning Engineer is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, and testing GRMS and Lighting Systems. This includes system programming, installation & terminations of devices, testing, overseeing the work of other technicians, surveying work sites, coordinating workflows, and providing on-the-job training to other technicians as needed.What you will do:
- To commission and quality assure ELV and GRMS installations to an excellent standard.
- Prepare system configuration, programming & operational documentation and ensure a fully functional GRMS system.
- Preparing related handover and operations manuals.
- Testing & commissioning, configuration of AV and Unified Communication equipment & software at the customer's site according to project documentation and project schedule.
- Should have in-depth knowledge of Audio-Visual programming using the latest Extron, Crestron, QSC, Biamp, BSS, and other AV control processors.
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and setting up of all Audio Video Systems as required following drawings & schematics.
- Conduct the inspection, repair, upgrading, planned & reactive maintenance of AUDIO & VIDEO systems.
- Check AV systems; identify malfunction, troubleshoot, first instance diagnosis, and take appropriate action to rectify system and equipment.
- Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
Required skills to be successful:
Technical Skills:
- Should possess hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of GRMS /ELV systems.
- Must be well-versed in the T&C of (GRMS/ACS/CCTV systems) including Honeywell Inncom, Interel GRMS & Lighting Control Systems.
- Good experience in systems integration and experience in any configuration and programming software for GRMS/Lighting Control/ELV systems.
- Integration of controls, room temperature, lighting, HVAC system, audio systems, curtains, TV, and other options in the room.
- Detailed working knowledge and experience in Operations and Maintenance of GRMS systems.
- Fault finding & troubleshooting skills in AUDIO & VIDEO Systems.
- General knowledge and experience of Electrical Safety Rules and procedures.
- The ability to accurately read and interpret drawings & schematics.
- Experience with other technology systems, such as CCTV/ACS/BMS is a plus.
- Technical training & certifications from manufacturers on GRMS system.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IT/Communication/Electricals/Engineering).
- Proficiency in Windows Based PC environment & AutoCAD.
Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years of directly related experience as an ELV/GRMS Engineer.
