Senior Planning Consultant

Senior Planning Consultant Dublin Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of Ireland’s leading independent town planning consultancies in their hire of an ambitious and experienced Senior Planner to their Dublin team! My client’s dynamic team of planning professionals specialises in delivering strategic, commercially driven planning advice across a wide range of development sectors, including energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, tourism, and leisure. We are seeking candidates who are ambitious, detail-oriented, and commercially driven, with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a recognised IPI or RTPI accredited degree/postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, with post-graduate professional experience in Ireland at Planner or Senior level, ideally within the private sector.

Duties of the Role:

• Lead and manage a variety of planning projects, ensuring delivery to high standards and within agreed timelines.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, including supporting documents and assessments.
• Provide expert advice on planning strategy and policy, as well as regulatory processes.
• Undertake planning research and provide input into development proposals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Contribute to business development efforts and the growth of the company portfolio.
