About the role - As a QC Laboratory Technician , you would be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely testing of products in the laboratory, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO 17034. You would work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement within the QC department. This role would suit a recent graduate. Responsibilities:
- Perform product testing in accordance with documented procedures and ISO 17025/17034/9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Maintain calibration systems for laboratory equipment.
- Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with QC and Production teams to schedule analytical workloads and manage product status.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems arising within QC or manufacturing areas.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in the QC laboratories in line with 6S, Lean, and good laboratory practice.
- Assist with any additional QC or cross-functional projects as required by the QC Supervisor or senior management.
- Laboratory experience, including skills in autotitration, manual titration, wet chemistry techniques, and complex instruments like ICP, FT-IR, XRF, GC, HPLC, and more.
- Solid understanding of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO 17034 quality management systems.
- Laboratory techniques including conductivity, pH, RI, spectrophotometry, and densitometry.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams to achieve quality goals.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Approachable, level-headed, and able to work effectively across different functions.
- Third-level science qualification, preferably in Chemistry (minimum certificate level).
