ITV Foreman

JOB PURPOSE Monitor and follow up the day-to-day operations and efficiency of the ITV drivers and their equipment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Supervise ITV Operations: Direct and coordinate the daily activities of ITV drivers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to schedules and safety procedures.
2. Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely container movement.
3. Ensure drivers adhere to safety regulations and terminal procedures.
4. Troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts that may arise during operations.
5. Maintain records of driver performance, container movements, and equipment status.
6. Conduct regular inspections of ITVs to ensure they are in good working condition.
7. Report to the ITV supervisor on operational performance and any significant issues.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
2. Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a container terminal or similar logistics environment, specifically with ITV operations.
3. Skills:

- Strong leadership and management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of container terminal operations and safety regulations, specifically related to ITV operations. - Ability to operate and maintain ITVs (preferred, but not always required). - Proficient in using terminal management systems and software. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Certifications: Relevant certifications in safety, equipment operation, or logistics management are a plus.
