News and information are available at or follow us on LinkedIn. We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join the Buildings Design team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will lead the preparation and submission of high-quality bids for our engineering consultancy specializing in design projects for the buildings department and will be responsible for managing the entire bid process, collaborating with technical teams and ensuring that our proposals meet client needs and align with company objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Management: Oversee the end-to-end bid process including identifying opportunities, coordinating inputs, and ensuring timely submissions.
- Client Engagement: Support in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and expectations to tailor bids effectively.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to create compelling and competitive proposals including technical and commercial aspects.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and client preferences to inform bid strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Review and edit bid documents to ensure clarity, coherence, and compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Bid Coordination: Facilitate internal meetings and workshops to gather relevant information and align team contributions to the bid.
- Cost Estimation: Work closely with the finance team to develop accurate cost estimates and ensure that bids are financially viable.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all bids adhere to legal, regulatory, and company policies and prepare reports on bid outcomes and performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in bid management or proposal writing within the engineering or construction industry with a focus on design projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and building regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in proposal management CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
