About The Role Reporting to the Production Manager, the role will be primarily responsible for execution of daily production in the VA, Medium and High Care areas. The position will be Permanent Full Time and based in Morningside, Queensland. Responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain a strong safety culture.
  2. Implement and maintain Food Safety and Quality standards.
  3. Execute the daily production plan of Sea Food in retail ready and MAP format.
  4. Lead training to ensure a competent and motivated production workforce.
  5. Monitor equipment and workforce efficiency, taking action to improve where necessary.
  6. Supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
  7. Manage resourcing requirements to ensure production against plan, effective staff leave management and planned and unplanned absenteeism.
  8. Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other supervisory staff on all matters related to service, cost and productivity.
About You You will have:
  1. An understanding of OH&S.
  2. Knowledge and experience of food safety and quality requirements.
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a team in Fresh Food.
  4. Experience working with products for Major Retailers in Fresh Food.
  5. Experience managing a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of up to 30 staff.
  6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  7. The ability to take responsibility, work independently as well as being part of a team.
  8. A working knowledge of CI.
  9. MS Office skills. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
