Due to ongoing growth, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven Manager to join our Private Business Family Advisory Division – specializing in working with high net worth families and groups with complex international tax requirements. The Role: The role of Manager is to manage an allocated portion of the client base and provide general support to the Partner/Client Director of other clients not in the direct allocation. The Manager will also report to the Partner/Client Director for several client assignments. This role also includes managing the team and their tasks. Your key focus will be family office/high net worth passive family wealth groups with international obligations or challenges. This will see you working with families to enhance, protect and build their personal wealth from a global perspective. Your main clients will be C-suite executives, private equity fund managers/partners, board directors, lawyers, accountants, and professionals – with a specialty in managing the tax affairs for families with international obligations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate information on critical issues.
- Assist in strengthening existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities through working on tenders and presenting and networking at external functions.
- Monitor works in progress to ensure it is maintained at an acceptable level and achieves the expected results.
- Undertake planning, lead and deliver on engagements.
- Allocate budgeted time for assignments and ensure work is completed within this budget.
- Manage compliance and IQA.
- Ensure all clients have been serviced adequately and suggest ways to improve.
- Collaborate with the client to identify critical project outcomes, work products, barriers to success and changes in scope or expectations.
- Delegate routine tasks and provide constructive feedback.
- Supervise, develop, and train teams while providing technical advice and insight.
- Provide encouragement and support to teams to resolve issues as they arise.
- Lead the team with confidence and provide motivation to perform well.
- Review productivity levels and identify additional or surplus staff needs regarding scheduling requirements.
- Collect and review team time sheets.
- Ability to develop strong connections with clients through discussions and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication – with a proven ability to adapt style for the client circumstance/profile.
- Ability to assess what is urgent, important, or a need with each client situation.
- Ability to adapt to different situations.
- Works cooperatively and shares knowledge.
- CA or Tax Qualification.
- 1-3 years assistant manager experience.
- Willingness to improve expertise through professional development opportunities.
