About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in Adelaide, bolstering our national group of design leaders in the Defence sector. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping critical projects nationally, bringing a dedication to design and delivery excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering architectural design and documentation for highly complex projects, with a specific focus on Defence projects across a wide variety of building typologies including living, commercial, education, health, workshops and warehousing.
- Recent and demonstrable experience in designing and planning of Defence environments will be highly regarded.
- Partnering with the project team to understand and develop the client brief, while establishing direct communication with clients and contractors.
- Partner with project leads to develop design intent and ensuring the maintenance of design excellence.
- Working in a collaborative environment with the internal project team.
- Managing the delivery of technical design documents.
- Inputting and performing network development, knowledge management, employee mentoring, operational improvement, and design review process initiatives.
- Design-focused, with a passion for leading small to medium projects or facility level components of large projects.
- At least 6+ years post-graduate experience, registration preferred.
- Demonstrated experience on projects across multiple building typologies.
- Defence project experience is desirable.
- Comfortable leading and mentoring a team.
- Exemplary design communication skills to convey design concepts through imagery and diagrams.
- Demonstrated competency and currency in use of Revit from design to detailed delivery phases.
- Demonstrated competency using BIM systems to support consultant coordination and clash detection is highly desired.
- Australian citizenship highly desirable.
- Willingness to undertake a security clearance.
