Support in development and ensures communication/implementation of global and regional SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect strategies to maximize efficiency. Lead internal stakeholder management in the respective HUB, across Business, Business Lines, and other Functions. Ensure compliance and implementation of SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect activities, procedures, and initiatives in the HUB Countries. Your Responsibilities:

  1. Support development and communication/implementation of global and regional SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect strategies for related SCM areas such as Indirect Materials & Services (Transactional-tactical) and Strategic Sourcing, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management, Quality, Sustainability, and SCM Systems. Drive compliance to global and regional sourcing operational strategies in the areas of SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect to maximize savings.
  2. Foster communication internally, externally, and between different Business lines, Functions, and support the implementation of SCM activities and initiatives as per SCM Council instruction in the HUB through clear communication. Lead “client satisfaction” with internal stakeholders from general management, Business, Business lines, and other Functions in the Region/Country through communication and active feedback loops between stakeholders and the SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect organization.
  3. Handle meeting the budgeted SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect function cost and headcount for country level as well as for planned cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier reduction, PO coverage, customer satisfaction, payment terms, spend compliance, and process automation.
  4. Analyze problems to identify the best solutions and trigger improvements from relevant SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect organization to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Identify, document, and communicate best practices using benchmarking, surveys, and case studies to establish preferred business practices.
  5. Contribute to development and implementation of SCM standards, tools, and processes in the respective HUB.
  6. Identify training needs and provide training to ensure successful implementation of global/region/local initiatives.
  7. Foster change management within a HUB/Country.
  8. Create and manage the needed succession plans to ensure proper people development and reduce attrition in the respective HUB. Oversee local staff and act as a local mentor for local SCM staff.
  9. Ensure proper legal contracts and maintenance for SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect within assigned SCM IM&S/CoE-Indirect scope.

Your Background:
  1. AS/BS in Supply Chain/Business Administration/Finance or related discipline.
  2. 7+ years of experience working in Procurement and logistics around Services and Strategic Sourcing in a company.
  3. Ability to lead teams across functional areas, business units, and across countries in respective HUB.
  4. Strong knowledge/use of MS Office tools including MS Project, MS Excel, etc., and SAP.
  5. Fluent in English language as proficient for communication.
  6. Strong knowledge of the Supply Chain Process related to Indirect Materials and Services.
  7. Strong project management and execution skills.
  8. Ability to lead initiatives and promote acceptance across Business Lines.
  9. Solid knowledge of different supply chains and logistics structures.
  10. Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
  11. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with C-level executives as well as rank and file in the Procurement and Logistics organization.
  12. Creating local/HUB processes in alignment with Business instructions where needed by local regulations.
  13. HSE, Integrity, and Quality which is Hitachi Energy’s license to operate, should be part of DNA or thinking process.
  14. Strong knowledge of Indirect Materials and Services contracts management, Technology trends in Indirect materials and services, Business process standards and associated application (P2P process), Vendor consolidation and process optimization, GDPR.
