We place candidates across functions and in India. Our client is a global MNC manufacturing organization with its head office in Mumbai at Thane. Job Description : 1. Will report to the Head of Procurement and manage the purchase of A-class items, including steel. 2. Manage steel procurement for the manufacturing unit. 3 . Handle imports and leverage import benefits. 4 . Procure outsourced products. 5 Coordinate with the Factory Material Planning team. 6 Collaborate with Business Units to develop outsourced products and services. 7. Develop and onboard vendors for existing and new items/services. 8. Enhance supplier quality. 9. Lead internal projects focused on cost savings, vendor capacity building, and mitigating supply risks. 10. Comply with QHSE standards. 11. Operate and manage tasks using the ERP system. Candidate Profile : 1. Graduate in Mechanical Engineering (Postgraduate in Management preferred). 2.10–15 years of experience in Purchase and Vendor Development, ideally in the Engineering Industry. 3. Strong knowledge of Production Purchase and Vendor Development. 4. Excellent negotiation skills and experience with ERP systems. 5 . Proven analytical and logical skills with a successful track record in complex production and assembly environments. 6. Proficient in ERP, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
