Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance for Utility, HVAC, Lab & Safety Equipment, and other biotech equipment per master schedules.
- Address and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize operational disruption.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of equipment history, PM, breakdowns, and corrective actions with appropriate approvals.
- Oversee mechanical fabrication and civil works specific to biotech operations.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) with vendors and follow up on project timelines and modifications.
- Implement energy and water conservation strategies within the biotech lab environment.
- Supervise and lead technical teams for day-to-day maintenance and project activities.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), OECD guidelines, and all regulatory requirements specific to biotech.
- Adhere to corporate policies, including quality, safety, and Code of Business Ethics (COBE).
- Education : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience : 4 to 10 years in maintenance, quality management systems, or a related field within the biotech/pharma industry.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of QMS, preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Expertise in biotech equipment maintenance and compliance with GLP standards.
- Proficient in vendor management and energy efficiency practices within biotech environments.
