The Finance Automation team at Hyderabad is looking for a DevOps Engineer who manages Amazon's financial applications, develops or architects and onboards third-party applications into AWS infrastructure, addresses risks in hardware and software, and supports and troubleshoots issues experienced by finance operations customers.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Interface with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes.
2. Monitor and maintain systems performance & capacity planning using metrics.
3. Work on expansions of current applications to support new launches.
4. Identify and address risks to hardware and software while helping maintain application and systems health.
5. Work on customer issues to identify problems and develop solutions to avoid recurrence by addressing root causes.
6. Build and rollout systems to multiple global regions for Finance customers.
7. Create processes and systems that can be leveraged to help drive efficiencies and quality.
8. Propose and implement new projects or recommend system improvements ensuring security standards which enable Finance Operations business.
9. Create and update our infrastructure and security standards and ensure that the systems adhere to these standards.
10. Work with a wide range of technologies and technical document writing.
11. Excellent listening, writing and technical communication skills are essential for interaction with senior management on status, risks and emergent issues with projects, initiatives, and support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience.
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow.
• Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system.
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls.
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
