Job Overview: Here's your chance to step into the role of Broadcast Technician at Arabian Radio Network. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:- Maintaining and following the daily checklist as per the B&T defined equipment and applications.
- Contributing to the development of the Radio & Social Broadcast infrastructure at ARN.
- Supporting and training the On Air team for smooth operations.
- Resolving technical issues in all ARN departments.
- Performing general operational tasks & any other tasks assigned by the Broadcast & Technology department.
- Checking and monitoring all Broadcast & Technology equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Finding and replacing faulty assemblies and parts at the component level.
- Installing and maintaining new equipment.
- Knowledge of studio, transmitters, broadcast systems, networks, and telecommunication systems.
- Ensuring that all studio and technical areas are clean and safe for operation.
- Working indoors and outdoors as required.
- Working in shifts for 24/7 operation and handling pressure in critical situations.
- Diploma/degree in Sound/Transmission.
- BSC in Engineering (preferably media engineering specialization).
- 5+ years within a radio and social media environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a tapeless broadcast facility.
- Experience with Analog/Digital Mixer, AOIP, Headphones, Microphones, Automation System, News Systems, OB, Broadcast Social Media Cameras, Video Mixers, RDS, Audio Processor, transmitters, and broadcast servers.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is desirable but not essential).
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast automation and transmission.
