Job Opportunity: Assistant Maternity Unit Manager (AMUM) - Kilmore District Hospital Position: Assistant Maternity Unit Manager (AMUM) Location: Kilmore District Hospital, Kilmore, VIC Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Commencement Date: 23rd December 2024 Closing Date: (Insert closing date) About the Role: Kilmore District Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Maternity Unit Manager (AMUM) to join our team on a fixed-term basis. The AMUM will support the Maternity Unit in providing high-quality care to women and newborns, ensuring a positive and safe environment for patients and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a passionate team and contribute to the ongoing development of maternity services. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the leadership and management of the Maternity Unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
- Coordinate staff schedules, assist in training, and provide support for clinical staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional maternity services.
- Oversee daily operations of the maternity ward, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor patient outcomes and report key data to senior management.
- Provide a supportive environment for both patients and staff, fostering a culture of care and safety.
Skills and Qualifications: - Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in maternity care.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
