In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the advancement of Moderna's supply chain compliance at the Clayton site, ensuring our supply chain processes meet the highest standards of regulatory and operational readiness. As a Sr. Specialist, Supply Chain Compliance, you will be an essential contributor in reviewing and optimizing standard operating procedures, training local teams, managing supply chain documentation, and collaborating with both local and global stakeholders. Your work will be vital in maintaining GMP standards and enabling Moderna’s commitment to global health advancements. Here’s What You’ll Do Your key responsibilities will be:
- Managing compliance documentation to support efficient inbound and outbound processes
- Reviewing SOPs for site supply chain functions to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence
- Revising training modules for local supply chain associates in collaboration with the Supply Chain Director
- Supporting warehouse specialists by managing documentation for cycle counting and peaking activities
- Handling documentation for sample movements in alignment with company standards
- Managing deviations within the warehouse, working closely with the Warehouse Operations Lead and QA/QC team
- Overseeing GMP requirements for the supply chain function, proposing actionable steps for ongoing GMP readiness and compliance
- Conducting export control for outbound shipments abroad, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Monitoring and managing alarms (e.g., freezer alarms), addressing deviations as required
- Engaging with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to ensure seamless collaboration and high operational standards
- Leveraging digital tools such as SAP, Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, and Excel to enhance workflow efficiency
- Supporting the supply chain’s continuous improvement efforts with a proactive, customer-focused attitude
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support Moderna’s supply chain objectives
- We digitize everywhere possible : In this role, your work will drive efficiency and enhance regulatory compliance using digital tools. Your proficiency in platforms like SAP and Smartsheet will be critical in maintaining seamless workflows and in real-time data access for the team.
- We act with dynamic range : The Sr. Specialist role requires a balance of strategic oversight and meticulous execution. You will work across various functions, ensuring both high-level compliance and day-to-day operational success, driving Moderna’s transformative mission forward.
- University degree in biology, or chemical, or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain including Audit Management, SOP Revisions, and working with SAP in a Pharmaceutical and Biotech manufacturing environment is essential
- Supply Chain Project Management experience preferred
- This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, Pharmaceutical, or related field.
- Experience of supply chain processes, including warehousing
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (SAP, Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work in a matrix organization, together with team members of other functions
