Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for a Part time-Tourism Officer to join our team at Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre & Museum. What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: Queensland Local Government Industry Award – Level 3 ($69,000 to $73,000 per annum ( Pro-rata), depending on qualifications/experience)

- Provide friendly and professional customer service at Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre.
- Assist visitors with tourist information, accommodation referrals, and local attractions
- Support the museum operations, including exhibitions and guided tours
- Maintain and manage souvenir and merchandise sales, including cash handling.
- Keep accurate visitor records, brochures, and stock levels up to date.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings as required
- A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in tourism and the local history of Cloncurry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current Open Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Police Check/Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- A qualification in tourism or a related field.
- Experience in visitor services, tourism, events, or retail.
- Knowledge of local attractions, history, and events
