YOUR ROLE This role is critical to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of CEVA’s weekly and monthly payroll, covering employees in Australia and New Zealand who are employed under enterprise, collective and individual agreements; and modern awards. Serving as the first point of contact for payroll enquiries, the position also provides expert guidance on award interpretation, taxation, and finance. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Specifically, you will:- Manage weekly and monthly payroll across Australia and New Zealand (using ADP in Australia and ADP + Datacom in New Zealand), including out-of-cycle payments and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise, collective agreements, and modern awards; oversee salary reviews, bonuses, award increases, and employee detail changes.
- Maintain and optimise payroll systems and Emplive (for hourly-paid employees), ensuring accurate data entry, record-keeping, and timely issue resolution.
- Verify and process new starter documentation, including electronic uploads, while maintaining complete and organised employee records.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for the business; respond promptly to payroll enquiries and provide clear, accurate information.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations, Payroll Tax lodgements, superannuation and deduction processing, plus end-of-financial-year returns (in both Australia and New Zealand), including any required auditing.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, site administrators, and managers, providing essential GL coding and documentation to facilitate timely payments and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience and fluency in ADP, and any time and attendance system.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound ability in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPS, Pivot tables, etc.).
- Bonus: experience in SAP SuccessFactors.
