Associate Director - Urban Statutory Planning

Our client is seeking an Associate Director in Parramatta, West Sydney, to join a leading urban planning firm. As urban planning specialists, they provide advice and services in strategic planning, statutory planning, integrated land use, social planning, transport planning, urban analytics, and planning tech. About the role

1. This position focuses on various key areas of the business: Statutory planning, due diligence assessment, and development advisory.
2. Strong knowledge of New South Wales legislation with regards to urban planning.
3. Prepare and manage reports and deliverables including environmental effects, environmental impact assessments, proposals, master plans, strategic planning reports, and expert advice.
4. Engage with various stakeholders including technical professionals, the team, clients, and government agencies.
5. Ensure deadlines and project objectives are met at a high quality.
6. Ability to project manage, track budgets, and complete deadlines on time and within budget.

1. Degree in a relevant field
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. 6-8 years of experience in both private and public planning roles
4. Strong decision-making abilities and independence
5. Proficiency in statutory planning issues
6. Australian citizenship or appropriate work visa
