About The Role As a General Manager with Bupa you will oversee a dynamic team and ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care in a welcoming, safe environment; you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the care home’s operations, including delivering quality care, managing financial performance, and leading staff development. Duties
- Collaborate with the Care Manager and clinical staff to ensure care services are aligned with individual resident needs and Bupa’s standards.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance resident experience and care outcomes.
- Ensure all feedback, concerns, and complaints are addressed promptly and in accordance with Bupa’s guidelines.
- Provide operational support, guidance, and leadership, including being available on-call as needed.
- Manage key operational metrics, including occupancy rates and incident reports, ensuring optimal performance.
- Monitor and manage the care home’s financial performance, ensuring budget targets are met.
- Lead recruitment and retention initiatives to build and maintain a strong, dedicated team.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by mentoring staff, setting clear expectations, and providing performance feedback.
- Proven experience in managing operations within an aged care or healthcare setting.
- Completion or working towards post graduate qualification in Health Management/Aged Care is desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage a team.
- A commitment to quality care and improving the resident experience.
- Excellent financial management skills and an understanding of aged care regulations.
