Senior Associate, Legal and Compliance

You will review the legal aspects of commercial proposals for international investments, project development, and consultancy work in the Company. This includes constructing legal templates for the structuring of a project, building relationships with strategic partners and project financing, undertaking corporate secretarial work, and instructing and working with external legal advisors. You will participate in one or more project work teams of the Company. You have to therefore develop a capacity of marrying robust legal advice with the commercial strategies for securing and executing a project. You will also assist the Company Secretary in corporate secretarial matters relating to the Board’s function. This includes coordinating and preparing materials for board committee meetings, drafting, reviewing, and coordinating circulation of minutes of meetings and Directors’ Resolutions in Writing, maintenance of statutory registers, and corporate records. You should hold a good university degree in law, with at least 5 years’ commercial experience or practice. Candidates who are qualified to advise Singapore law or UK law are preferred. Strong and concise drafting skills, commercial savviness, excellent verbal and written communication skills with good attention to detail are pre-requisites. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands. Ability to communicate in Chinese, both written and spoken, is an advantage (to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates). #J-18808-Ljbffr
