Summary: As an Application Lead, you will oversee the design, construction, and configuration of applications, acting as the main liaison for all related activities. Your role will involve leading a team, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality business intelligence (BI) solutions. You will provide technical guidance, collaborate with stakeholders, and maintain best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform independently as a subject matter expert (SME).
- Actively participate and contribute to team discussions and problem-solving.
- Lead the team in the design and development of BI applications.
- Coordinate project tasks to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in application development.
- Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and installation-related issues.
- Collaborate with the vendor (IBM) for product-related inquiries, concerns, or issues.
- Expertise in installing, uninstalling, and configuring IBM Cognos Business Intelligence components (Windows and Linux).
- Experience installing IBM Cognos-related application patches/upgrades.
- Proficiency in migrating BI objects across development, staging, and production environments.
- Skills in application performance tuning and configuration.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot performance and configuration issues.
- Experience in managing Cognos users, roles, and groups.
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting techniques.
- Experience designing and implementing BI solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with IBM Cognos Business Intelligence.
- This position is based at our Manila office.
