Our client in the skills development sector seeking a Finance Manager to oversee our finance department. This role involves strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role will lead financial operations while working closely with senior management to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership - developing & implementing financial strategies; collaborating with senior management on decisions and conducting analysis for growth opportunities.
- Financial Planning & Analysis - leading budgeting & forecasting; managing cash flow & risk assessments and preparing financial reports.
- Compliance & Reporting - ensuring tax and regulatory compliance; managing audits and financial reporting and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Team Management - supervising the finance team; providing mentorship and leadership and overseeing daily financial operations.
- Stakeholder Communication - presenting financial reports to investors; updating stakeholders on financial performance and driving financial transparency and accountability.
- Sourcing of Funds – sourcing of working capital and investment capital.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- Experience in education/ skills development sector - required.
- Minimum 5 years financial management experience.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
- Proven team management experience
