About the client: Our client is a young financial consultancy based in Canada, specializing in helping small businesses and startups secure government grants and loans. With expertise in navigating complex government tenders, they assist clients in optimizing resources and identifying growth opportunities through strategic financial solutions. About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance & Operations Executive for our client. This role involves working closely with the CEO and other senior team members. The ideal candidate will have a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and curiosity. Will be responsible for defining and documenting SOPs, assisting in operational activities, and ensuring seamless coordination with the CEO to optimize business processes. A strong financial background is essential, including expertise in financial analysis, research, proposal writing, and managing grants and tenders. Professional fluency in English is essential. Experience in any Financial Background is required. What you’ll be doing:
- Work closely with the CEO to define and document SOPs for business operations.
- Assist the CEO in operational activities and daily administrative tasks.
- Take detailed notes during meetings and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Ensure alignment with the CEO’s vision and business strategy .
- Oversee and manage the client database, ensuring data is updated and well-organized.
- Generate and maintain reports on the client pipeline and progress.
- Process and manage invoicing, along with other finance-related administrative tasks.
- Maintain organized databases with client, financial, and resource information.
- Conduct research to identify potential funding resources and provide insights.
- Assist in executing basic marketing activities and strategies.
- Support the preparation of proposals and tenders for potential clients or projects.
- Handle daily operational tasks and ensure smooth workflow across functions.
- 4-5 years of experience in an operations or administrative role, preferably in financial or consulting environments.
- Educational background in Chartered Accountancy (CA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM, Microsoft 365, Excel, and PowerPoint .
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, especially in pipeline management and invoicing.
- Experience in proposal writing, grants, and managing tenders .
- Basic marketing knowledge and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent written communication, proofreading skills, and attention to detail.
