Citrix Engineer

• Design, implement, and manage Citrix environments
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for Citrix architecture
• Plan and execute upgrades and migrations to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer to join our Windows Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Citrix Desktop Broker and Citrix Farm, as well as proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Group Policy management. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix environments to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation:
  • Design, implement, and manage Citrix environments, including Citrix Desktop Broker and Citrix Farm.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for Citrix architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Plan and execute upgrades and migrations to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Maintenance and Support:
  • Monitor and maintain Citrix environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex issues related to Citrix infrastructure.
  • Perform regular system audits and optimize configurations for peak efficiency.
• PowerShell and Automation:
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating routine tasks and improving operational efficiency.
  • Create and manage automation solutions to streamline deployment and management processes.
• Group Policy Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage Group Policies for Citrix environments.
  • Ensure Group Policies are properly configured to enforce security and operational standards.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other members of the Windows Engineering Team to integrate Citrix solutions with overall IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Citrix services with other applications and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices within the Citrix environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience working with Citrix Desktop Broker and Citrix Farm.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Group Policy management in a Windows environment.
• Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies, including XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting.
  • Strong understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPO) and their application in Citrix environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
