Job Purpose
- ServiceNow Developer focuses on the technical and logistical deployment and maintenance of cloud-based solutions that meet client's business needs - primarily developing ServiceNow modules and/or Web Services to exchange data between ServiceNow and other technology systems using software development best practices.
- The ServiceNow Developer will receive directions from the ServiceNow Technical Lead or ServiceNow Technical Architect, and will also be responsible for requirement scoping, tool configuration, solution development and achieving technical milestones throughout the lifecycle.
- ServiceNow Developer can identify risks and reports them in a timely manner, has good communication with the project team, and can work without constant direction or supervision.
- Design, develop and implement Service Catalog workflows, ITIL processes, ITAM modules within ServiceNow platform and integrations with external systems based on customer requirements.
- Implement considering ServiceNow best practices and standards.
- Review and refine designs for usability, reviews testing scenarios and refines test cases, to ensure applications quality and works with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level ServiceNow support, resolve incidents/enhancements/defects writing, debugging, and testing using a mix of JavaScript and server-side Java.
- Produces and maintains detailed system documentation, including design specs, solution proposed, unit testing, tech notes, etc.
- Following-up on outstanding client needs and provides timely status reports to their lead.
- Assists in the scoping of new opportunities and design tools and techniques to deliver efficiently.
- Ensures each artifact produced, each configured technical component, and all personal interactions are of the highest quality.
- Create templates for unique agency requirements, reports, dashboards, flows and email notifications.
