Position Description

Job Title: QHSE Engineer M/F Contract Type: Fixed-term contract Contractual Hours: Full time Contract Duration: 02 years

Job Description

  1. Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish the Project HSE&Q & IMS action plan aligned with SPIE & Customer QHSE policy and procedures for project activities.
  2. Organize monthly QHSE meetings and compile meeting minutes for dissemination to the Project manager and QHSE Manager.
  3. Conduct monthly inspections on project sites to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  4. Report HSE statistics, incidents, and non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for HSE incidents and ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
  6. Conduct VOP to all sites to promote safe working practices.
  7. Maintain an inventory of all HSE equipment (including PPE) required for project sites and follow up with the team to ensure equipment is in good condition.
  8. Participate in Project Risk Identification (PRI) activities for all Projects and provide supervision if necessary.
  9. Plan and execute at least two emergency drills on a yearly basis (Tier 2 & Tier 3 level) for staff accommodation.
  10. Provide training and development for new workers, identifying emergency situations and ensuring strict adherence to QHSE instructions.
  11. Conduct Audit – GAP assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  12. Conduct Root cause analysis.
  13. Assume the role of Management of Change (MOC) coordinator for all project scopes.
  14. Update safety-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and issue new ones as required to ensure adherence to safety protocols during project and construction activities.
This role requires strong coordination skills, a deep understanding of HSE&Q standards, and the ability to effectively manage safety procedures within project and Operation and Maintenance environments.

Profile

  1. Proven experience as a QHSE in O&M Sites.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.

Candidate Criteria

  1. Minimum Level of Experience Required: 6 years or more.
  2. Required Authorisations: Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent with specialisation in HSEQ.
  3. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, IMS standards and HSE management systems is highly preferred.
  4. Languages: English (D-Full professional proficiency).
