Reference: 2025-37390 Area of Activity: Technical Facilities Management Position Description Job Title: HSE Supervisor (SIMOPS) M/F Contract Type: Fixed-term contract Contractual Hours: Full time Contract Duration: 1 year Employee Status: Operative Job Description: We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC - Iraq branch for a HSE Supervisor (SIMOPS). Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure permanent control of the application of the Company’s HSE Management System and Bridging Documents requirements between Contractors involved in operations & Company.
  2. Support Company’s Senior Supervisor to identify and minimize risks, especially downgraded situations. Participate in performing Operational Risk Analysis and job analysis for critical tasks.
  3. Participate in Kick-off meetings, Pre-spud meetings, daily meetings, and Pre-Job Meetings.
  4. Ensure and/or Deliver HSE inductions at the activity sites.
  5. Ensure HSE training compliance of personnel on site (H2S, ERW,…).
  6. Coach and mentor crews in all aspects of daily HSE best practices as well as the company HSE Golden rules.
  7. Contribute to compliance with Company’s HSE Objectives. Follow up on progress. Generate and propose improvements.
  8. Ensure communication of Return of Experience on all HSE related matters (e.g., Safety Feedback Notices). Participate in HSE performance improvement with recommendations of initiatives based on audit results or analysis of incidents.
  9. Organize implementation/training/sensibilization of Company’s HSE campaigns.
  10. Coordinate the implementation and updating of Contractors' emergency plans, as well as collaborate in the organization of emergency/accident drills.
  11. Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents/accidents/anomalies (participate in Cause Tree analysis when required). Consolidate and issue investigation report. Follow up the implementation of identified actions.
  12. Assist the Company’s Senior Supervisor in the organization and preparation of Site HSE Committee presentation and minutes.
  13. Being trained as CPLO (Competent person for lifting personnel) Level 1.
  14. Assist Company’s Senior Supervisor on SIMOPS follow-up.
  15. Ensure compliance of site activity with Company’s Waste Management Plan.
Profile: Ideally, you will have graduated in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and a minimum of 5 years as HSE Supervisor (or equivalent). Experience on onshore operations, including, but not limited to, SIMOPS and CPF construction works is required. You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Dynamic, proactive, very organized, and detail-oriented. Fluent in English and Arabic. Working at SPIE - What can we offer you? Attractive salary, accommodation, and transportation.
