Position Summary The Credentialing Specialist performs physician and advanced provider credentialing, including but not limited to initial credentialing, recredentialing, and ongoing monitoring . Role/Title: Credentialing Specialist Working Hours: 4:30 PM to 1:30 PM IST Location : Remote Working Days: Monday to Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions : The following are representative examples of job duties that might be performed in this position.   • Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor team adherence to these standards (for supervisory roles).
  • Promptly report any suspected compliance violations.
  • Complete all required compliance training to uphold ethical and legal standards.
Credentialing (100%):
  • Prepare credentialing, recredentialing, and telemedicine privileging files , including the collection, verification, and assessment of credentialing information per Vituity policies. Track progress in the Salesforce Credentialing database.
  • Identify and escalate "red flag" items to the department manager for action.
  • Assist in preparing provider credentialing files for review and approval.
  • Maintain current credentials data for all Physicians and Advanced Providers. Send reminders, update databases, and share updated credentials with external parties (e.g., managed care organizations, medical staff offices).
  • Provide customer service and credentialing support , including obtaining copies of credentials, generating profiles, and completing paperwork as needed.
  • Follow up to ensure all required paperwork and credential copies are obtained.
  • Scan all provider/employee/contractor documents into electronic files. Update and organize electronic files as needed.
  • Provide support for onboarding, hospital credentialing, and medical licensure efforts when required.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):
  • Strong relationship-building skills to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing .
  • Excellent time management : Ability to multi-task, prioritize , and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills .
