Job Role: Head Chef Duration: Full-Time Location: Department: Operations Experience: 5 years in hospitality Job Brief: The Head Chef shall be responsible for leading kitchen operations along with his/her team in a dynamic dining environment. This role shall involve organizing all kitchen activities, ensuring high-quality dish preparation, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. The Head Chef will develop innovative menu items, manage kitchen staff, and uphold food safety standards. Their leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment and enhancing the overall dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, control, and direct all food preparation processes and related activities.
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer to ensure high standards.
  • Plan orders for equipment or ingredients based on identified shortages and manage inventory effectively.
  • Arrange for necessary repairs of kitchen equipment.
  • Address and remedy any problems or defects that arise during operations.
  • Oversee the work of kitchen staff.
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect among coworkers while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen in accordance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Receive, store, and handle food supplies, ensuring attention to freshness and quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, coordinating tasks for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for food preparation and service, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Pay attention to detail to ensure the quality and consistency of dishes, promptly reporting any issues to superiors.
  • Coordinate with other departments to help resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Hospitality graduate or diploma in hospitality.
  • 5 years of experience in F&B production.
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Outstanding analytical and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to relocate or travel within PAN India.
