About Us: We are Designopolis, an e-learning platform dedicated to pioneering educational experiences in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lighting Design Mentor to lead our workshops and bootcamps for architects and interior designers. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3+ years of exclusive lighting design experience, proficiency in industry-standard software such as Dialux Evo, and a desire to share their knowledge in an educational setting. Teaching experience is highly valued, and a master’s degree in lighting design is considered a bonus. Key Responsibilities:
- Course Development: Create, plan, and deliver engaging and informative workshops and bootcamps focused on lighting design principles, software skills, and industry best practices.
- Instruction & Mentorship: Provide hands-on instruction, guidance, and mentorship to participants, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Curriculum Design: Develop training materials, lesson plans, and case studies that cater to varying levels of expertise, from beginners to advanced professionals.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrate and teach industry-leading lighting design software, particularly Dialux, including tips, techniques, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Designopolis team members to align workshop content with industry trends and organizational goals.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from participants to continually refine and improve workshop content and delivery methods.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in lighting design to ensure the curriculum remains current and comprehensive.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years working exclusively in the lighting design sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Dialux and other relevant lighting design software.
- Education: A master’s degree in lighting design is a significant plus.
- Teaching Experience: Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop facilitation experience is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Passion for Mentorship: Strong desire to educate, inspire, and guide others in the field of lighting design.
