This role requires a creative leader with extensive experience in office interior design, space planning, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of modern office trends, and the ability to manage a design team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Design Leadership:
- Lead the creative direction and design strategy for office interior projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand.
- Develop innovative design concepts that enhance workplace productivity, employee well-being, and overall aesthetics.
- Oversee the creation of detailed design plans, including floor layouts, furniture selections, colour schemes, lighting, and material specifications.
- Develop efficient space plans that maximize the use of available office space while promoting a positive work environment.
- Incorporate flexibility into designs to accommodate future growth and changes in workspace requirements.
- Oversee the entire design process from initial concept development through to project completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of design plans.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with practicality to meet project deadlines.
- Lead and mentor a team of interior designers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and the sharing of ideas.
- Conduct regular team meetings and design reviews to ensure the team’s work aligns with project goals and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in office design, workplace technology, and sustainability practices.
- Incorporate innovative solutions, materials, and technologies into design projects to create cutting-edge office environments.
- Continuously explore new ideas and design methodologies to keep the company at the forefront of the office interiors industry.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source high-quality materials and furniture.
- Ensure that all materials and furnishings meet the design specifications, budget constraints, and project timelines.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that all design elements are delivered and installed according to plan.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., NCIDQ) are a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in interior design, with a strong focus on office or commercial spaces.
- Proven experience leading design teams and managing complex office interior projects.
- Strong understanding of space planning, and the latest trends in office design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects from concept to completion.
