Role Title: Business Analytics Lead Analyst Position Summary: The job profile for this position is Business Analytics Lead Analyst, which is a Band 3 Senior Contributor Career Track Role. The Organization offers solutions that provide actionable insights to internal and external business partners and customers that help improve customer experience, reduce cost, measure and forecast business performance, and improve process and procedures. The Business Analytics Lead Analyst will be responsible for providing advanced professional input into Business Analytics assignments/projects. They will analyze and interpret collected data, spot trends, write reports and complete data modeling. Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Using SQL to write queries to ask and answer business related questions.
- Using Python libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, pyodbc) to create descriptive and summary statistics.
- Using Business Intelligence tools to create self-service reporting for business partners.
- Communicating findings and coordinating with peers, leaders and business partners.
- Gathering details regarding the business of the operations area by using a variety of methods (shadowing interviews, shadowing, surveys or reading reports, etc.)
- Examining and interpreting the data to discover the weaknesses and identify the root causes.
- Conducting self-driven data exploration and documentation of tables, schemas, and tests
- Conducting hypothesis testing on business partners assumptions using statistical tests in Python.
- Completing ad hoc requests for business partners data needs.
- Identifying automation opportunities to consolidate similar or repeated ad hoc requests.
- Understanding business needs to better inform reporting and analytics duties.
- Refactoring tableau and emailed reporting scripts to enhance performance, provide deeper insight, and answer questions. Updating project documents as well as status reports.
- 6-8 years of relevant analytics experience
- Experience as a Business Analytics professional is a plus.
- Expertise in health insurance contact center operations.
- Proficiency in Agile practices.
- Familiarity with Big Data Platforms (Databricks, Hadoop, AWS).
- Experience with Structured Query Language.
- Experience with a scripting language (Python, Powershell, VBA).
- Experience with Business Intelligence Software (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills a must.
- Problem-solving, consulting skills, teamwork, leadership, and creativity skills a must.
- Analytical mind with outstanding ability to collect and analyze data
