Job Summary: The Product Designer provides input into overall design decisions and completes the tactical design work associated with their assigned product portfolio. This includes responsibility for delivering user flows, wireframes, prototypes, presentations, and user interface (UI) elements. The Product Designer works with a team of designers, engineers, product, content designers, and researchers to deliver assigned design projects promptly and efficiently. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Architects and designs high-quality and engaged experiences for customers and associates.
  • Leads multiple aspects of design projects within a single track of work within a platform or suite of products; completes projects for individual products or supports projects at the product group level. Assesses user needs for each project and line of business through discovery.
  • Utilizes best practices to build user flows, wireframes, and design comps and low-fidelity prototypes to ensure products deliver optimal experience.
  • Solves challenging design problems at a product level to improve product design.
  • Utilizes variety of architecture, UI design, and graphic design skills to best meet varying business needs.
  • Delivers quality, timely deliverables such as presentations, UI elements, wireframes, and production work to leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Manages visual and interactive creative assets, develops final solutions, and contributes to the Lowe's Design System to ensure reusability and consistency.
Years of Experience: 3 Years of Experience in User Experience Design Education Qualification & Certifications (optional) Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree In Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Related Field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree) Skill Set Required Primary Skills (must have)
  • UX/UI Design Expertise : Proven experience in UX/UI design for SaaS products or similar tech applications, with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping Tools : Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, and/or other relevant tools.
  • User Research & Testing : Experience conducting user research (e.g., user interviews, surveys, A/B testing) and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Visual Design : Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, color theory, and layout. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing, intuitive designs.
  • Design Systems : Experience creating or working with design systems and ensuring consistency across various product interfaces and platforms.
  • Responsive Design : Ability to design responsive web and mobile interfaces that work across different devices and screen sizes.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers. Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and decisions.
  • Agile/Scrum Environment : Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment, collaborating in sprint cycles, and adapting to fast-changing product requirements. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify user pain points and create innovative design solutions to solve complex problems. Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail in designing pixel-perfect interfaces that are intuitive and easy to use.
