Accountant - 12 months contract

Position: Accountant (12 months contract) Role Purpose: The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Financial Reporting team in managing all regulatory, statutory accounting, and reporting requirements for Singapore. Additionally, you will assist the Finance Operations team with weekly and monthly reconciliations and reporting tasks. This position also involves collaborating with various departments, functions, and regional colleagues to support local and regional transformation projects. They are located in the CBD, Singapore, operate in multiple markets worldwide, and are known for their innovative approach to insurance solutions. As a fast-growing organization, they emphasize continuous improvement and transformation across their regional teams. Key Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and audit schedules. Support the preparation of regulatory and management reports. Prepare intercompany invoices on a monthly basis, validating expenses before submitting them to affiliates. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Take on additional finance-related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities: 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry (preferred). A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Proactive, with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Comfortable working in a dynamic, start-up environment. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Solid understanding of accounting principles. MAS reporting experience (preferred). Proficiency in ERP Oracle (preferred).
