Location: North West, Tasmania The Role:
- We are seeking a motivated Registrar – Palliative Care. In this role, on a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for liaising and collaborating with other treating clinicians for both public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital, Aged Care and Community settings.
- The Tasmanian Health Service (THS) – North West Region is an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community in Tasmania’s beautiful North West.
- The Rural Generalist Palliative Care Registrar position is accredited by the GP colleges and Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).
- Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) - 12 months Advanced Specialised Training term in Palliative Care to train registrars on all ACRRM pathways.
- Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) - 6 months Extended Skills training and 12 months Advanced Skills training.
- RACP - accreditation for Foundations in Palliative Medicine.
- THS – North West Region also has a close working relationship with the University of Tasmania’s Rural Clinical School.
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Enrolled in the relevant speciality training program.
