Main purpose of the job: Provide technical support to the Production Coordinator for decision-making; Identify and provide support on medium and short term projects to achieve performance breakthroughs in terms of quality, productivity, cost reduction, machine efficiency, waste reduction, continuously meeting health, safety and environmental standards; Continuously research, test and implement new production processes and techniques to advance towards operational excellence; Key responsibilities: Identify opportunities and support operational and maintenance areas by implementing improvement programs (for example, safety, quality, service, productivity); Support manufacturing processes, using quality techniques, tools (SPC, design for experiments, statistics); Elaborate and/or review documents related to production processes; Plan and develop technical training for the operational team. Propose, promote and lead innovative manufacturing processes and techniques for new products; Assist the operational team in case of serious technical problems; Monitor the performance and life of the operating materials (shavings, clothing, rolls, ropes, mats for the tip guides, etc.) and correlate with the performance of the machines to deliver the best results; Needed experience & competencies: Engaging and Open Communication Initiative Continuous improvement methodology knowledge Rapid Problem Solving Fluent in Portuguese and Advanced English Knowledge of the entire production process Ahlstrom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
