PLC Programmer

Job Description: Job Title : PLC/HMI Engineer Job Location : Bangalore/Pune Job Type : [Full-time/Contract] Experience : 4-6 years Industry : Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Controls, etc. Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC/HMI Engineer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Rockwell PLC and HMI systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, troubleshooting, and system integration to ensure the efficient operation of control systems in an industrial environment. This role requires the ability to work with various control systems, manage project deliverables, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and program Rockwell PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, etc.) and HMIs (FactoryTalk, PanelView, etc.) for automation systems in manufacturing or industrial applications.
• Perform troubleshooting and debugging of PLC and HMI programs to resolve system faults and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to gather system requirements and deliver customized automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation, including program code, electrical schematics, and user manuals.
• Conduct system integration, commissioning, and testing of PLC and HMI systems at customer sites or in the lab.
• Optimize control systems to increase production efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure safety compliance.
• Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting existing systems, providing technical support, and assisting with upgrades or modifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISA-88, ISA-95, and NFPA-70E.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress, scope, and potential improvements.
• Provide training to operators and maintenance staff on HMI and PLC system operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4-6 years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Rockwell PLCs (e.g., ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and HMI systems (e.g., FactoryTalk, PanelView).
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, etc.) and HMI design.
• Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and DeviceNet.
• Proficient in Rockwell Software (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
• Experience in system integration, commissioning, and startup of automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, CE, UL) and automation best practices.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for system installations and support.
