Neighbourgood, South Africa’s leading hybrid hospitality brand, is looking for a dynamic Junior Media Producer with a passion for visual storytelling and digital production. This role is all about bringing our brand to life through high-quality video content that enhances our presence across multiple platforms. As part of the Brand & Marketing team, you will play a key role in capturing, editing, and producing engaging video content, from social media clips and brand campaigns to community stories and immersive digital experiences. You will craft compelling narratives that showcase the Neighbourgood lifestyle and elevate our brand’s visibility. REMUNERATION This is a contract-based role , with remuneration dependent on experience and skillset. The position is hybrid , offering both office-based and remote work. QUALIFICATIONS & ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media Production, Marketing, Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in media production or a similar creative role.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, or similar).
- Strong storytelling skills, with an ability to craft narratives that fit the brand voice and engage audiences.
- A creative thinker who can generate fresh, compelling ideas and bring them to life through various media formats.
- A strong visual sense and awareness of design principles, with a keen interest in consumer and industry trends.
- A strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with the Head of Brand and the Brand & Marketing team.
- Able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative attitude within the team.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that content is polished and on-brand.
- Time Management: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with the flexibility required in a contract-based role and hybrid working environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Self-Starter: A proactive and motivated individual who takes initiative and shows ownership of projects.
- Photography Support (Advantageous but Not Required) – While the primary focus is on video, basic photography skills would be a plus for complementing visual content.
- Shoot, and edit high-quality video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.
- Produce rapid-turnaround video content that aligns with social media trends and engages our audience.
- Develop a strong visual storytelling approach that reflects Neighbourgood’s brand identity, values, and community focus.
- Create both planned and reactive video content , balancing strategic campaigns with real-time, trend-driven moments.
- Ensure a consistent visual style across all video content , maintaining high production quality while keeping a raw, authentic feel.
- Stay on top of industry and social media trends , leveraging them to create timely, relevant content.
- Collaborate with the Brand & Marketing team to brainstorm fresh video ideas and innovative storytelling formats.
- Optimise video content for each platform , ensuring best practices for engagement, format, and length.
- A skilled videographer and editor with experience in social-first content production.
- Highly proficient in video editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
- A fast, adaptable creator who can turn around video content quickly while maintaining high quality.
- Someone with a strong eye for visuals, composition, and storytelling.
- Passionate about social media trends and understands what makes video content go viral.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
