• Develop robust / scalable digital solutions by making use of built-in functionalities and focusing on front-end scripting.
• Troubleshoot complex digital issues, identify the root cause and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
• Ensure that complex client requirements / business rules are met when integrating applications into client websites.
• Develop an understanding of how web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API calls, etc.) operate to retrieve data.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, systems, and processes to address business requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create / maintain clear and concise documentation that details client needs, technical specifications, etc.

What our client is looking for:

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial but not essential
• 5+ years of experience in building, customising, and optimising WordPress websites.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and basic PHP and SQL for server-side integrations.
• Solid understanding of client-server architecture and its impact on web development and performance.
• Hands-on experience in interacting with RESTful APIs and managing data formats.
• Understanding of SEO best practices, web traffic metrics, and optimization techniques.
• Skilled at quickly identifying problems and proposing viable, effective solutions.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms and build strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, tracking and reporting time using relevant software.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve website performance, usability, and functionality.
• Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing digital solutions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive web experiences.
• A solid understanding of the WordPress backend, including theme and plugin development.
• Driven to keep learning and growing in the field, adapting to new technologies and trends to stay ahead of the curve.

Working hours:

• This is a remote position and you will be working US hours.
• Working hours: start at 4pm SA time and finish at 12m SA time.
