We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Mobility Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on an exciting new masterplan development in Riyadh with an opportunity to further your career. Are you ready to put your expertise to work on a marquee project that will move the needle towards transportation systems that are sustainable, efficient, equitable, and inclusive? Parsons is now hiring a Senior Mobility Engineer to help support the transportation component of our new project in Riyadh. We are looking for those with a passion for the study, planning, and design of infrastructure such as complete streets, pathways, cycling facilities, transit priority and rapid transit facilities, and associated area-wide networks, programs, and plans. What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Champion the completion of transportation designs, plans and policy studies, including the evaluation of alternative planning and engineering solutions to integrated mobility challenges/opportunities;
  2. Contribute to the completion of larger transportation projects of varying complexity, including corridor studies, environmental assessments, master plans, area studies, etc.;
  3. Be informed and aware of emerging trends in transportation planning/engineering, including place-making, greening, accessibility, inclusion, and diversity;
  4. Manage or coordinate the work of other disciplines and firms and work within a team environment;
  5. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and proposals;
  6. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and the community;
  7. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and municipal staff as required;
  8. Prepare project planning schedules and budgets;
  9. Contribute to business development activities including networking and developing new client relationships;
  10. Assist the procurement team in tendering, evaluation, and recommendation for the appointment of Design consultants;
  11. Establish design deliverables programme;
  12. Preparation of Transportation design management plans for submission to the client;
  13. Chair regular design meetings and review and approve meeting minutes;
  14. Develop and implement a design change management tracker;
  15. Assist the commercial team with review and assessment of Design variation claims and EOT claims;
  16. Assist the Estimating team on preparation of various cost estimates/budgets as the various design stage gates;
  17. Lead Value Engineering exercises, make recommendations and prepare and present reports to clients on the same;
  18. Review and approve design deliverables.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  1. Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements;
  2. Familiarity with Local KSA codes and standards, including the 2024 Saudi Highway code;
  3. 4-year degree in Urban/Regional Planning or Civil Engineering is required, with master's degrees and other studies and certifications appreciated;
  4. Relevant work experience should be demonstrated, with the individual’s role in their project successes articulated;
  5. Candidate should have a technical background in transportation planning, as well as a solid understanding of planning policy frameworks, best practice guidelines, planning and design techniques, evaluation methodologies, and performance measurement;
  6. Hands-on use of VISUM, VISSIM and Operation Analysis software. Knowledge of programming is a plus. Database management techniques; statistical analysis; proficiency with standard computer spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software; and statistical and computational analysis principles and methods;
  7. Conduct travel demand modeling using CUBE and other software packages for TIS / TMP projects and other studies;
  8. Operational analysis including intersection analysis and analysis of road segments and interchanges using standard techniques and packages (e.g. SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS); development and analysis of mitigation measures;
  9. Urban/Metropolitan transportation planning including corridor studies, regional network studies;
  10. Public transportation planning;
  11. Other expertise such as integration of transportation planning and land-use planning; non-motorized transportation; parking management helps favorable assessment.
