Are you a skilled and experienced accountant looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial statements? Arla Foods is seeking an Accounting Lead to join our team and contribute to our finance department's success. As the Accounting Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including reconciling accounts, managing treasury functions, analyzing financial information, and providing technical support to the management accountant. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining internal controls, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and ensuring monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Managing treasury functions, including payment and collection schedules, cash flow forecasts, and bank reconciliations.
  • Analyzing financial information and summarizing the financial status of the company.
  • Providing technical support and advice to the management accountant.
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Managing the accounting team and providing guidance as needed.
  • Participating in financial standards setting and the forecast process.
  • Preparing financial statements and producing budgets according to schedule.
  • Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monthly review of the trial balance and ensuring account reconciliations are completed.
  • Managing tax declarations and tax audits.
  • Supporting the month-end and year-end close process.
Requirements And Skills To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Experience with the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, MS Dynamics, or Oracle.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
